Hello and welcome!
My name is Mary Ellen Brockman and I am a retired physical therapist with 37 years of experience helping people living with chronic pain.
Throughout my career, I saw many people improve with traditional physiotherapy - but I also met others whose pain persisted despite receiving exellent medical care. Those experiences led me to ask a simple question:
What if pain isn’t always explained by the physical body alone?
That question began a journey that has shaped the last 25 years of my professional life.
I studied acupuncture early in my career and became fascinated by the idea that health involves more than muscles and jounts. Since then, I have continued exploring approaches that recognize the connection between the body, mind, emotions, and our internal energy.
Today, my work combines decades of clinical experience with gentle, non-invasive techniques designed to help people reconnect with their bodies and release patterns that may be contributing to ongoing pain.
There are no needles, forceful manipulations, or painful treatments. In many sessions, we simply use conversation, breathing, guided awareness, visualization, and gentle energy-based techniques while listening carefully to what your body is communicating.
I don’t believe every chronic pain condition has the same cause, because every person has their unique story.
Sometimes our bodies continue to carry the effects of stress trauma, grief, fear, or unresolved experiences long after the original events have passed. My role is to help you safely explore those patterns and support your body’s natural ability to move toward healing.
Whether you’ve lived with pain for months or for many years, my goal is always the same:
To provide a safe, compassionate space where you feel heard, understood, and supported as we explore a path toward greater comfort balance and well-being.
If you’re curious about whether this approach may be right for you, I invite you to book a complimentary introductory video call. Together we can discuss your situation and decide whether Chronic Pain Release Therapy is a good fit for you.
I would be honoured to be part of your healing journey.
